Finishing Basements

Has anyone here finished their basement?

I'm considering finishing ours, but to finish the ceiling I'd need to raise the sprinkler pipes slightly, point the sprinkler heads downward, and (since I don't want to catch my head on them) replace the bulb heads with flat or low-profile ones. I imagine making changes to the sprinkler system will involve permits, inspections, approvals, some scheduling, etc, so I'm curious if anyone has already gone through it.

Happy New Year!

As promised here is the start of our blog. I thought I would have taken some pictures of the complex by now but I haven't gotten around to it. I'll try to add as we go along. I just wanted to get something out or else I'd never get around to it.

Only 14 address were registered with me. We all know there are more than 14 units so if you know of anyone who would like to be included please send me a note or have them send me a note and I can add them.
